Baby wants to die tonight
Hear her soft, cold cries
An angel takes her hand so tight
To tell her how to fly.
Her wings are broke and mangled
She fell from worlds on high
But she promises she’ll show you
How it feels to die
Her hands are cold and icy
As she takes that gun
To stare salvation in the eye
To ask you how it’s done
The angel speaks low and sweet
“Pull the trigger, dear.”
And she knows that it’s the only way
She’ll get away from here.
She asks herself “who cares? “
Where’s her man tonight?
In lonely bars under the stars
He drinks to fly so high.
Who will cry for her?
Who will lie that day?
Dressed up in black
They’ll touch the box,
And say the parting words
Where were you that night?
When baby took her life?
Do you feel for things you never said
Or worse for all you did.
In that lonely note,
She promises she’s safe
She says that she went home today
She spread her wings to fly.

- It's very good. I like reading poems about suicide because I've tried to commit it 3 times and I like seeing what other people have to say about it. 5/5
