A lonely maiden with thoughts on a string
Unable to fly with broken wings
A relentless beast who shares her blood
Churning her mind to no more than mud
And still the mud he treats as clay
He breaks and shapes and bends his way
Unfathomable is the form he imbues
Each word he weaves is far from the truth
An angel she once had to keep her mind clear
No longer is there to relieve her fear
Without the one who helped her fly
A hopeless void seemed to draw nigh
Yet underneath the empty shell
A hope rings out as clear as a bell
Hope of a life without that monster
A life without him bearing down upon her
Intelligent and utterly beautiful was she
But these traits he refused to let her see
Then one day the hope that burned
Led her to leave and she never returned
She broke free of those horrific things
Finally able to mend her broken wings
And happily so, without further ado
Without him, she began her life anew
