Dark Life
By N.A. Triantaffelow
There is no dream so deep,
No comfort so, to sleep,
No solace taken, to keep—
No escape from this darkness world.
But one must try,
So there’s not room to cry,
For hope shall never die—
Shall only move in darkness curled.
And though hearts turn black,
We shall all look back,
From Mercy; life in lack—
And we shall take the darkness… hurled.

Description:
When the world darkens under clouds of nuclear winter, and all hope seems lost, and every opened door leads into a bleak hallway, what shall the world's people, the last of it's children, do?
The poem is another apocalyptic reflection, explaining this time that hope never leaves us, only changes it's position, and it's shape. It tells us to live on, for that is what our instinct is, what our one, unwavering meaning is.

- It's like "oops I'm sorry I sent that nuke at you guys!" makes sense though. Like all of your other poems, I like it. Guess I'm a fan now. lol
