Look at the fireworks!
Watch them burst!
I'm watching from the inside, looking out,
For I have lost my grandfather,
The one who made fireworks fun.
Now he's gone and six feet under,
Lying there like the dead end of a Whistling Pete.
Done its job and now laying still,
Down in the ground,
Lying under a plaque of stone.
Never to rise again and touch a firework,
Put on a great show for the whole neighborhood,
He's dead and gone,
March 25th is his anniversary,
I won't be here,
I'll be at his grave,
Crying and making him one last firework.

- I'm sorry you lost your grandfather. He sounded like a cool guy. I would have lovd to have meant him. I love this poem, by the way. It makes me want to cry. But, to be honest, your writing needs a little work. Make your grandfather a firework for me. smile

- Thats a sad poem, but well done. It needs to rhyme rythemicly (stress, unstressed, etc.) but other than that its good. I'm sorry for your loss; I know how you feel. 4/5
