I’m drowning In the tears I could never cry,
The tears I could never force out,
I was to selfish,
I kept them to myself,
Now my soul is flooding,
Drowning in the tears I could never cry.
I couldn’t let you see,
Because then you would know how much I felt,
So I sit here sobbing,
But you’ll never know,
Because the tears are on the inside.
The pain you caused rips my heart,
Silent screams of pain and agony float around me,
They make the air thick with heartbreak.
But you can’t feel it,
Only I can.
It’s on the inside.
The inside, that’s where I drown.
Because I couldn’t bear to know how you’d react,
If you knew,
I’m drowning in the tears I could never cry.
