• Sadly alone lies a tower at night
    Not far away is a girl in flight
    She spots him and enters timidly
    And rests clinging to his drapery
    He loves his new visitor and cares for her
    Though he knows this can't last forever
    She desires his protection
    He desires her affection
    Alas Time corrodes everything
    They both begin slowly drifting
    She eventually stops, giving him no care
    But she wants him always to be there
    Now the tower is too weak to defend
    And knows this will all soon come to an end
    But the girl knows of nowhere else to run
    So the tower holds her 'til his time is done
