Snow falls to the ground
Her breath white in the air
She paces back and forth
cars driving by
Not noticing the lonely girl
Though she notices them
Splashing her with Icy water
She shivers
Arms crossed
Hands tucked
Chin in her jacket
She waits
Waits for one
The only one for her
Seconds turn to minutes
Minutes turn to hours
Eventually the cars stop splashing
Her thoughts say she's wrong
And her heart begs to differ
Though she waits
Waits for one
The only one for her
She can't seem to breath
The coldness covers her
She sits down
Arms no longer crossed
Hands no longer tucked
Chin straight up
and asks
"Why?
Why am I waiting?
Waiting for who?
There is no one for me!"
And she starts to walk
Leaving her dream
Tears start to fall
Splashing the ground
Melting the snow
They've fallen into
She walks to the edge
Where the bridge finally ends
And looks to the icy waters below
She jumps
Closing her eyes
Expecting to fall
But not
A hand on her shirt
A hoist and a thud
And she's back in the street
Looking into the eyes
The eyes of the one
The only one for her
Though she doesn't know
And he just sees a girl
They are meant to be together
For he was searching
Searching for one
The only one for him
And now his searching
And her waiting
Is finally
Finally done
