You remember when I saved the earth?
Did it 5 times in one night.
I had nothing but coke and pizza
In a quiet room, devoid of light.
Had it on the hardest difficulty
Didn’t have any friends
It was only me.
I’ve saved the earth 5 times!
Where’s my recognition?
Saving the earth every night
They're calling it a condition.
Savior of the Earth,
And they’re checking me out
The love of video games
Doctors don’t know what it’s about.
But I’m persistent
Told them they’re old, and ignorant.
Nothing wrong with ‘em I say.
Video games help the mind
Therapeutic, in a certain way.
They’ve taken my games.
Taken my box.
It’s all in a metal prison
Surrounded by locks.
I have friends around the world
You don’t understand
Those friends will miss me
It's not as I planned.
At first I was depressed
But now I see their plan.
I say studying is for losers,
They say I need to become a man.
They don’t want me to have fun.
They want me to behave
Settle down, learn something.
As if I'm their little slave.
But instead, I’m gonna run.
No I'm not being funny
I’ll grab my things,
My memories
And my money.
It’s late at night
I don’t know what I’m doing
Nothing feels right.
So I wandered endlessly
Through the night, into the morning
No-one missed me, no-one was mourning.
I found some friends though
They said they could help me
But now I know those friends were liars
Liars who just wanted to take me.
So I write this poem
On the wall of this room
With a pen I found
I hope help comes soon.
I'll never understand this world
Life used to make sense
When I was saving the earth
And I loved my parents.
