How pathetic

Did you honestly think you could win,

Win over the God of this new world?

Who do you think you are,

You who call yourself the Worlds Greatest Detective?

You are pathetic

Did you honestly think I cared for you,

Me, the God of this new world?

Why did you look so shocked as I killed you,

You only furthered my entertainment?.

I am pathetic

Why did I kill you,

You, who I love?

Why didn’t I realize sooner,

Realize how much I loved you?

Remembering his thoughts of that night, that night so many years ago, Kira drew his last breaths. The ghost of L came to him; it was only in death that they could both truly be together. Only in death, both Light Yagami and L Lawliet could love. Only in death, could both Kira and L live as one.
