• The people come, they take the body,
You run after them, screaming, clawing.
"NO!!" you scream, "He's not dead!"

They just keep walking, walking away.
They're eyes black, cold as ice.
As they drive away, you chase after them.
Dropping to your knees, screaming, beating the ground.
    Holding your head, sobbing endlessly.

Later you sit in the cold, dark, quietness.
Still sobbing, ice cold inside, barely moving.
So many thoughts, it hurts to think.
    You shut down.
    You are numb.

    Forever you remember.
You bring the pain back again,
And, in a way, you enjoy it.
It keeps him alive, his memory stays alive.
The body may die, but the memory remains.

    The hurt seems like forever.
    But you know the truth,
    You will see him again.

    Losses may seem everlasting,
But in reality, life is brief.
In the after life, it is everlasting.
Love will be rekindled, and loss will be lost.
