    The sun sets,
    On another lonely day,
    Without you.

    I watch the sky,
    Its show of colors
    Painted on the horizon

    Its times like these,
    I wish you had stayed,
    So we could share them.

    You’re probably somewhere
    Far away,
    Watching the sunset,
    With another.

    I sit here,
    Watching the sun set,
    Wishing you by my side.

    But then,
    I remember the hurt.
    The pain you caused.

    And I smile.
    I wished you had stayed,
    But I’m glad you didn’t.
