-
a cold winter night,
the air froze our dreams.
a trip and i fell,
into frozen seas.
"take my hand"
thats what you screamed,
but over the wind,
silence recieved
but then a whisper,
finally reaching the pier.
"just let me drown"
"let me drown, my dear"
all the air left your lungs,
as the strength left your soul.
and you realized i wasnt there anymore.
forget it, thats okay.
so you gave up on watching this fade,
now slowly walking away.
of seeing me go, you were oh so afraid.
and left alone,
no silent plea.
left to drown,
into the sea.
it seems the only one to blame is me.
whispers, whispers
upon the salty winds,
of everything you should have forgotten.
whispers, whispers.
the secrets were passed,
they'll never know what we knew then.
whispers, silence.
and that was when,
i wasnt there, you realized then.
that time moves too quickly.
for time is a beast.
its too bad really,
it caught me by the feet.
silence, silence.
theres never anyone around here anymore.
theres a legend still,
of a dreamer and the drowned.
suposedly,
thats what ruined this town.
