• Rain splatters not against my window but against my soul. Permeating my safe haven and filling it with cold, murky darkness. I scream and the darkness fills my lungs and overflows over my very essence. I call for help, but no one hears. No one will ever hear. I feel something wrap around my neck. It is warm and soft to the touch. I am pulled out of my dreary tomb into your arms. Our lips lock and you breathe for me. Slowly the darkness floods out of my body, out of my soul, out of my mind. I put my arms around your waist and I breathe into you. We begin to float. I say that I will love you forever with a kiss on your brow. You look at me, stare into my eyes, and I see pools of light and love. I can't turn away nor would I want to. You take my hand and we step off this merry-go-round. And we melt into each other.
