Containment is a minuscule
self built cage
Trapping me inside myself,
Thick iron bars keep the outside out
Holding me inside a metal mouth.
I cry hysterically,
And scream so loud it gets silent
But nothing can penetrate the grey cement ceiling.
It’s cold inside and out
Surrounding me with nowhere to hide,
It leaves me alone
Slowly destroys me
The distant outside walls,
Make me their slave
Surrounding me with nowhere to hide,
Yet there is nothing there.
I have no where to run
For my own protection
I created this entrapment
Might be easier if I could
Blame someone
But I can’t
I hammered the nails,
And closed up the bars
On me.
I Fought and kept everyone out
But,
Now I sit here alone,
Trapped,
Wishing someone would come
Find me,
And let me out.
