    ‘Will you love me, like I love you?’
    Or, is that just my wishful thinking?
    I know in my heart that I don’t stand a chance,
    I still love you, that will never change,
    Despite the tears that caress my cheeks,
    I am grateful that I got to love,
    I want you, I’ve always wanted you.
    I wanted to hold you,
    To be the one to love you,
    To be the one you turned too,
    But I knew I was never that one.
    I kept running from the truth,
    I couldn’t help it,
    I’ve known all along you never loved me, like I do you.
    You’ve never noticed me, like I have you.
    It hurts so much to say this.
    I know I can’t change you,
    So I’ll continue to love you for the rest of my life,
    Once again my dreams—my life has fallen apart,
    Everything I’ve wanted, I could never have,
    And I stand here now,
    Watching as you walk away, hand in hand with her,
    Wishing that you would at least say ‘Good bye’,
    I’m alone again,
    But, it’s okay,
    As long as you’re happy…
