-
An ethereal glow emanates
westward, away from your heart.
My own is unfamiliar, fluttering away in
my chest, knowing me better than
I do.
That look in your eyes,
a gleam which blinds me and casts a glare on my lenses
is aggressive
It threatens me, loving me all the while
and at the same time, I feel
sad, as though I've lost you.
Your arms close around me,
solid and real
and I can't escape because
my heart won't come with me.
You are a villain--
my villain--
and liking you feels wrong but it tastes so right.
Saline,
marine,
I don't know where I'm going but
somehow I'm back with you.
God DAMN you.
You taste right.
You taste so right.
