I told you and you didn't believe me
I was to obvious to really be in love
But I said it anyway
So, maybe, one day...
Oh, who am I kidding
You're no different
You're just like them all
You don't give a damn if I fall
And all I can say
Is that it's okay
I'm walking through the pages
And faking a smile
And as the ink fades
I know the taste
Of a bitter hearts revival
I'm reading
My own history
And it repeats on every page
Even as the ink gets washed away.
I can fake a smile this time
I can lie this time
I can watch you kiss her
And not blink
Because you're still with me
I still hold on to hope
and your company
I'm alright
I promise
I'm okay
I swear
As long as you're still here
I'll be just fine.

Description:
Eh, well...this is kind of old.
In case you didn't know, I'm Blue Hazel from allpoetry.
So if you find this on that site, no worries, I really wrote it.
Anyway, this story was prompted by "All that I've Got", A song by The Used.
If you've been to my site, you'll know most of my poems are about unrequited love, and this is no exception. Hope you enjoy! - Date: 12/29/2008
