Selene, silver Selene, my most beautiful love
Glittering bright with your stolen light.
Others may try so hard to shove
But Diana’s aim brings not but shame
For her attempts to steal thy glory
Leave her seen as less than a queen
By the close of our long, endless story.
Outside at night, I wait in delight
To see one more glimpse of your face
Hoping to dream in that endless stream
Wherein you bathe with such grace.
I shall soon leave on a journey to weave
Towards the distant and fair Latmus’ Mount
There to await that much longed for fate
In your arms, eternal sheep shall I count.
