In the firelighted darkness
He sulks and dreams of relief
Stars promise better mornings
To this man so struck with grief
Everything's been taken
And fears he can't live like this
With no one but himself
He just can't help but miss
Both beauties he loved
And hugged and kissed goodnight
Use to tuck one in
After all those stupid fights
She said it was for the better
But mostly for the girl
But the child was just so young
He could have given her the world
Tears well up, but he's too strong
To let his feelings show true
In his mind, alone at night
He can't help but think of you

Description:
