• Forlorn inside the darkest cloud,
I think of why I’m still alive,
This life just seems so meaningless,
So boring, every day’s the same.

    Every person leads one life,
But every single life’s the same,
And though it seems there is freedom,
I find that this is not the case.

For if I were so truly free,
    I wouldn’t follow other’s steps,
I wouldn’t have to choose one way,
The way would find me on its own.

Right now, there’s preset paths for us,
You’re either one thing or you’re not,
Whichever path you seem to choose,
    Someone has been there first.

I want to find a path myself,
I wish I could be truly free,
Even in chains I’d feel the same,
Bound, restrained, my life lived for me.

If life is so short, I want to live,
Not live to live, but truly live,
Wild and reckless, I want an adventure,
So far I’ll go crazy, living this way.

So far all I see that is exciting,
Death is unknown, I crave that adventure,
But alas, I will wait to walk down that road,
And find a new path, fresh from the start.

Take a deep breathe, and set out anew,
You may think me crazy, but I can make due,
I won’t be myself, there’ll be life in my eyes,
Starting today, I’m free as a bird.
