• Preface

    The Pavement Roars,
    Noises engulf me.
I look up as the dove soars,
    Begging for peace.

    Knights teach their lore,
    With deadly intentions.
Souls are changed right to the core,
    And cannot be mended.

    Some can stay loving,
    Hearts still tender.
    Calling my name,
    Eager for my voice.

    Horses run wild
    Blocking my path.
    I call for my child
    Who is now gone.

    The panic erupts
    War is spread.
    Troupes of young are lead,
    To die in battle.

    Turmoil rages,
    Numbers dwindle.
    Cityscapes destroyed,
    Fires wait to rekindle.

    Part 1

    Hierarchy remains,
    All in debt.
    Conspiracies come forth,
    Eyes still wet.

    Leaders still preach,
    But only the lies.
    Crowds gather,
    Echoes of “Whys?”

    Chaos is settled
    New leader in reign.
    Lives restart,
    Still no one quite sane.

    Years can pass,
    Yet all in not right.
    Centuries leave
    Citizens whisper at night.

    Control and contain,
    no peace can sustain
    Turmoil erupts
    For self and greed.

    Part 2

    Technology misused,
    Weapons afire
Towns, cities struck by the fuse
    Which we call our world.

    In modern war,
    People still die
    Planes scatter
    Across the sky.

    Bombs explode
    Countries fall out
    Innocent are struck
    Powerful back out.

    Economies crash
    War still rages
    Bombs still last
    Killing the wages.

    Glaciers melt,
    War is still there.
    The hand is dealt,
    For people to share.

    War takes all,
    In time of need.
    Prospering through eras,
    Yet no one will heed.

    The corruption has spread,
    To people still here.
But no one believes what is said,
    But they hear.

    It is time to change
    Our ways we have learned.
    The corruption we know,
    Will soon be burned.

    Documents charred
    Capitols in ruins.
    Windows are barred
    Unknowing the outcome

    Peace lords take over
    Bombs-weapons, destroyed.
    Families return
    Chaos has ended.

    Democracy plays,
    Peace is to stay.
    But man will take heed,
Of a lie which is greed.

    Wars will begin,
    Countries divided.
    No one will win
    Until an answer is provided.

    The war rages on,
    Forever and more.
    Always a shadow,
    Waiting in the door.
