Do you remember the times
I'd hug you and hold on tight?
And nobody in the world
Gave a care at all.
I remember a time of old
A story lost that was never told.
A story where being nothing
Was everything to us.
Do you remember the days
When true love was something strange?
Memories of a time before
That I could barely recall.
I had the time of my life
Standing by you day and night.
We were nothing more than best friends
But we were nothing less.
Do you remember long ago
We were the only people we know?
The only ones who talked to each other
The only ones who knew what to do.
I remember the age
Where our friendship would never fade.
I would use my
Dying breath to sing a song for you.
Do you remember the years
Where together we laughed through our fears?
No one to help us
Because we helped each other.
I always thought it was right
To be by your side if it took all my might.
Some used to say
We were sister and brother.
But now what happened to the times
I'd hug you and hold on tight?
All of a sudden there is no one to hug
Standing by my space on the floor.
What happened to the age
Where our friendship would never fade?
I want to sing with my dying breath
But there is no one to sing to anymore.

- Title: Remeniscence
- Artist: Poetic Progression
- Description: I knew this girl and she knew me since we were both zero. But ever since high school started, I don't seem to be her best friend anymore. She has a boyfriend, other friends who didn't know her for half as long as I did, and it's getting worse. I feel like I'm being pushed further and further away each time she hugs her boyfriend, which is another step away from the childhood we both shared. I wrote this poem asking her if she still remembers how it was when it was just us best friends.

So..
I kind of legit cried. This is a lot like how me and my best guy friend are. Well, were. We don't go to the same school anymore, hence the split.
I still consider him my best friend though. >>;
xD Sorry for the life story.
But, anyways. THIS IS SO GOOD. I really did kind of cry though. But not at the sadness. At the way you described your relationship with her. It was sweet as Hell. I love the "dying breath" lines. <3
