Hurting Souls
Why is it that when one does cry,
They are attacked by sneers of those,
Who felt no pain in that they did,
And are so cruelly shunned for this?
I truly thought the heart was pure,
However now I see that's false,
For if the heart were truly poor,
Would we not help these hurting souls?
How cruel is it that this is true,
That snide remarks should conquer those,
How sad it is to think of them,
And see how care is not given.
Why must only good ones hurt,
And think themselves the ones at fault,
When those around them should be blamed,
And they should be those taken in?
But this is only quite the truth,
For if you do so look around,
You, too, will see these helpless souls,
And maybe next you'll give them aid.

- Title: Hurting Souls
- Artist: Razetto
- Description: I know it's the law of "survival of the fittest" that causes such actions, but why can't people realize that it's not right? there isn't a need for such treatment for the weak when you shouldn't need to hurt to survive. This poem describes my opinion of treating the weak poorly...

- Good job. I feel you could have used better word choice, and it gets a little clunky feeling in places. 3/5.
