EMO? crying
is it really that bad?
you cant accept the fact
that i get a little sad?
that i am a little mad?
so i favor black
and i dont like yellow
you use those as reasons
to make my soul sink
so some of us cut
and some of us dont
we can smile
laugh love and live
sure we cry
we want to DIE!
but none of you understand
its not like we planned
to live life like this
to spend our days
depressed and amiss
we're not bad people
we dont worship satan
we're not out to kill anyone else
and we dont like ourselves
as much as we could
but we're ok with that
you can call us ugly
you can call us fat
but you cant change who we are
we are emo
whats so wrong with that??

It kinda reminded my of Dr. Suess, which was odd (but not necessarily bad?). The topic was good, and i relate to it as a kinda-punky and depressed-ish person, but it could be made better. Maybe lay off the rhymes? I know they're fun, but you can pack much more feeling into it when you use poetic language in poetry, instead of relying on rhyme. otherwise, pretty good!

Topic aside, this was a pathetic and bland attempt at something a small animal would call a poem. Twisted and broken rhyming, paired with unimaginative writing, weak imagery, and poorly written ideals. Trash! 1/5.

This is great. My friends are constintly misunderstanding what it means to be emo (not one myself) so I am always trying to stop them and make sure there perspective is on things are at the very least true, because to be honest I can't put thoughts in thier heads I can only give them the facts. Wonderful poem 5/5
