Her steps across the cobblestones
ring sweetly to his waiting ear.
His gentle hands begin to shake
at gruesome thoughts instilling fear.
A hand he plunges in his cloak
and fumbles for his treasured friend.
That shining steel so cold, so pure,
tonight will dance and tear and rend.
His breathing now just shallow gasps
as footsteps yet fall louder still.
This deafening sound it drives him mad;
he quivers, waiting for his kill.
And as she moves within his reach
the predator can sense its prey.
Before a scream can pierce the night,
the blood begins to flow away.
His blade now falls from out his grasp
as fangs into his neck plunge deep.
His body soon thereafter drops
as blood from out his wounds does seep.
She leaves her victim sprawling wide
within the alley dark and cold,
then moves into the mists of night
until her tale once more is told.

- some of the rhymes seem a bit forced, maybe I just don't know art. It's not bad, though. I get the image pretty well.
