What we wear is not who we are,
This should be common sense.
A person is not a sum of thread,
Mind and soul and dreams we are.
Clothes can never make the man,
For it is man who makes the clothes.
Rags only reflect so much,
Why don't people understand?
Sheets of cloth cannot define
The soul you harbour deep inside.
Unless your pesonality is outweighed
By thread and rag produced so fine.
So throw aside your suspects
That your rags define you.
Wear what you wear because you wear it
Not because the crowd expects.

Description:
I wrote this quickly not too long ago. I had been asked the question, "Do the clothes make the person?". Also, it's pretty short.
That's really all I think I can say about this one. Enjoy.
Note: ABCA rhyme scheme. Not my usual, but I decided to do something different that day I suppose. ^_^ - Date: 12/05/2008

- It did't rhyme as much is i wish it would. There are some poems one can just read and the rhymes sound so cool n easy to fit together. This wasn't one of those poems. It had its rough spots but i do love the topic and the thought you put into it!!! XD

- Yes! I love this one. Had to read it twice to get into the format (ABCA isn't something I'm used to, and I didn't read your note until I started commenting... pff), but it was definitely worth it~ 5/5
