My Love/Friend

Whenever you are sad.
Whenever you are down.
I will be here when you come around.

You can tell me what is wrong.
You can tell me what is right.
Because if you want me to, I could stay all night.

I will give you a hug.
Tell you everything is going to be all right.
If you don’t want to give up hope,
Then hold on tight.

I might be here now,
But, I will not be here forever.
So you must try to fight this through.
Because I will not always be there for you.

When I am gone,
And you are alone,
You will wonder if it is fair,
That I am in heaven,
And you are here.

But, I will tell you what,
Whether you are in heaven and I am on earth,
Or, I am in heaven, and you are on earth,
I will always love you, no matter what.

This is wonderful, and it made me cry.
Very few things can do that, but this is touching. It made me think of my brother, who almost died a week or so ago.
He's okay now, but this poem was excellent. So bittersweet and wonderful.
