• in the darkness
    a child cries of being scared
    a woman sobs of being alone

    after the sunsets
    a child makes a bet
    about how long her parents will fight

    around midnight
    a child rocks herself in the shadows
    as her parents yell at each other
    and the woman is being yelled at
    all the time

    not knowing where to go
    the child hides under her bed
    as her "father" goes on a binge
    trashing her room...searching for her

    and the woman...
    yells for him to leave
    to never come back
    to drink himself to hell

    as the sunrises
    a child crawls downstairs
    as her daddy drinks coffee
    the woman...makin breakfast
    both welcomin her with a "good morning"

    she cant smile
    knowing that tonight
    she'll be crying of being scared
    of...her "daddy" the monster
