Gentle snowflakes
Decorating trees
Puffs of smoke
Leaving chimneys
Howls of wind
Rattling the shutters
"It's a cold one tonight"
My father mutters.
Prickly pine cones
Clenched in my fists
The sweet scent of pine
Surrounds me in mists.
Cold winter snow
Freezes my cheek
I stick out my tongue
Oh, the air is so sweet!
This snow globe I hold
Is so lovely and grand
How I wish to live
In that Winter Wonderland!

- I really liked it too! It made me smile. I've a great appreciation for winter after living in Florida for 4 years. Winter is really an awesome season and this poem says that. I liked the little twist at the end. It all rhymed very well, too.
