-
Weapons gleaming whitely in the moonlight,
He smiles, slowly, seductively,
Achingly beautiful in the
silver-white glow.
Large, limpid eyes tremble up at him,
And he calms her with a thought.
Fear
makes the blood run sour,
tainting it.
Some enjoy the flavor, but he prefers the
sweetness of love.
Sinking fangs into her slender neck,
he gently lowers her to the ground as
her life becomes his.
Blood runs like wine through his silent heart,
liquid fire ‘neath his skin.
He steps back,
sated.
Death has lent her an ephemeral beauty,
And he sheds a tear for his love before
fading into darkness,
A shadow,
A messenger of Death with the face of an angel.
Alone once more.

- I liked it, though it may be "unoriginal", it sated my guilty appetite for all things vampire.
