Lightning flashes,
I am blind,
then thunder crashes,
leaving me deaf.
Wind howls,
biting my skin,
water drips,
chilling my bones.
And in this storm,
I scream and cry,
wondering when,
I shall die.
It's my own choice,
to sit here,
patiantly waiting,
waiting to die.
For behind,
the painted mask,
my soul is drenched,
in the darkest of blacks.
And now is the moment,
I realize,
that I've been waiting for,
all of my life.
Lightning flashes,
but I'm already blind,
heart slowing,
out of time.
The storm clears,
melting to sunshine,
birds cry,
they've found me dead.
In a few days,
no more will be left,
I will be gone,
in essence and truth.
And who will miss me?
No one I say,
for I was born in shadows,
and I have died in shadows.

- Description: Poem number...13 I think. Once again, sorry if dark poems bother who (note to you, don't read my other poems). If you like it, please check out my others. Many of them do have a basis in my life, and my feelings, but no, I'm not going explain every scenario in which I wrote one of them. Anyways, rate this what ou will, but please try to be semi-intelligent in your comments.
