As rain fell outside the window
She thought of the other day.
Where she would run and jump around
How she used to play.
The trouble started early,
When she first arrived at school.
Her boyfriend had left her,
But that’s just a drop in the pool.
When lunchtime came on that fateful day
She was told she had a call.
The teacher’s eyes were red
Which told the girl it all.
It was her Nan’s voice she heard
Throughout all the sob’s.
Her father in Iraq
She found out he was shot!
But that was not the end of it
That was just the start
The next thing the girl heard
Was the one that broke her heart.
Her mother who was all
This girl had left to hold.
Was lying in the bathtub
With lips all icy cold.
When she found out about her husband,
She couldn’t take it all.
She got drunk and took a bath,
When she hung up from the call.
Now rain falls outside her window,
And wind blows through all the trees.
She wishes for some happiness,
To come back to her please.

- wow... that was so sad but very well written! It could possibly be a short song as well if you sing it correctly. 5/5
