I walk through the flowers
Under a clear blue summer sky
The roses are so crimson red
They make my worries die
Tulips and sunflowers and love galore
As I walk out of the field
And into the general store
Here they sell food, water, and love galore
And I see it all as I pass through the door
I walk out onto the dirt-paved street
Into the warm, relaxing mid-August heat
Warmth and heat and love galore
(Soon to be---- no more)
I walk into the bar and find not-at-all booze
And betting games you can never lose
Not-at-all-booze and love galore
It's now that I think 'No more! No more!'
I crush the flowers, burn the town
Watch the buildings all fall down
"Ah, that's better" I sigh in relief
That is, until, I see one browning leaf
It's all thats left of this once-thriving town
It's this that I yell, as my heart begins to pound
"Love galore?
No more! No more!
Now there's only hatred to adore!"
