Bleeding heart bandaged tight
is anything I do right?
a mind so free locked in a cage,
the thinning lines of despair and rage
Reaching for you, take my hand
as I fall through hourglass sand.
Can’t understand nor comprehend
this twisted land my nightmares bend
Avoiding light, afraid of dark
tiptoe loudly through this part.
Looking always, never seeing,
could this be my life you’re freeing?
So far away and yet so close,
Surely it’s a dream, a ghost.
Nothing to lose, all to gain
please, my love, remove this pain.
Losing breath, recover life,
your grasp pulling from this strife.
Sad and slow my lullaby rings,
a tied down bird with clipped wings.
So confused, I see too clear
my life ahead, the pain, the fear.
A future bleak, blinding bright
Disappear forever, wish I might.

- Title: Tourniquets Can't Stop This
- Artist: Piano Kisses
- Description: This poem... I'm not really sure where it came from. It was my first one ever done in such a style that it left me with these extreme images in my head. It is very near and dear to me, and I feel it shows deeper into my heart than most of my other poems do.
