I shouldn't use pain as a mask for acclaim;
it is immoral and upsetting to the membrane.
Maybe it's just my conscience thumping
what my heart is trying to claw into my numbing
I shouldn't slander as a way to break an idol;
it is immoral and controversial to the shallow.
Maybe it's just insulting to the crowd,
and I'd love to say it out loud
I shouldn't become the center of attention;
it is immoral and stupid and I get no affection.
Maybe it's just a way for you to listen to me,
to the small pain brought on by the giant affinity
Oh, who am i to judge?
And, who are you to judge as well?
We can't just live happily ever after
because we still live in a place called hell.
Hell on Earth will burn to the ground
before the Heavens arrive from high up on a cloud.
(and where is the hope?)

Description:
I hope people really take this seriously
drunk driving is bad
but this poem isn't about that
that is just common sense. - Date: 10/26/2008
