-
Grass and sidewalks covered in white,
and bundled up children with Frosty in mind.
Snow boots and scarves, hats and mittens,
something to chew on for the spanking new kittens.
Rooftops and treetops, a blanket of snow,
an assortment of angels on the ground below.
Doorbells a ringing as night appears,
carolers singing and spreading good cheer.
Christmas tree hunting, the strong scent of pine,
combined with popcorn strung on a line.
Skating and sledding, and a dangerous slope,
watch out for the reindeer, it'll give you a poke.
A mantle with tinsel, a warm fireplace,
where stockings are stuffed with cars you can race.
Music and boardgames, shortcake and pies,
for good little children who never tell lies.
Christmas vacation and trips to the mall,
the cat needs a mouse, but the dog wants a ball.
Presents we love and presents we hate,
but it's really Christ's birthday, so let's celebrate.
