Darkness surrounds her in light
And, as she closes her eyes, she wishes she might
Step out of the darkness soon
For her certainty is as far as the moon
And her happiness she cannot remember
In her mind it exist only as a mere ember
Then he appears again and takes her hand
When he is by her side she feels like she can stand
On her own two feet
Finally she wants her heart to beat
But, as every other time, when her eyes open
Her heart is once again broken
And her soul is yet again shattered
When he was around she felt like she mattered
Now that he's gone the darkness is back
Her tears pour and her voice cracks
Without him she cannot be alive
And when he is gone she takes a deep dive
Into the nothingness that exists without him
She hates the darkness, it won't disappear
It will exist for years and years
She knows that without him she will surely die
But one thing she will never do is give in and cry
Because if she did they would think she was weak
After all they already think she's a freak
Everytime she need to get away
From her life which is in disarray
She can always just close her eyes
Even though she knows it is not wise
When she does she can see him and hold his hand
And she will travel to a different land
A land full of happiness and light
His face always expels all fright
She no longer wishes that someday she might
Step out of the darkness and into the light
With him light always overpowers darkness
For with him her soul experiences pure bliss
But until she is as nonexistent as he
She cannot and will never be
Completely happy and unafraid
She'll be in the dark till her wish is made.

- Description: This is a poem I wrote a while ago... two years ago actually. It is about a girl who is in love with someone who died, and who she tried to keep alive in her imagination.

- Loved it! I want to take a point because of the flow, it was off, to me, a little (minimal). However, I liked it too much to do that, so I give this poem a 5/5.
