• Jetties

    To stand above
    The ocean
    To walk along the shore
    To feel alone
    When surrounded by
    The isolated storm
    The wave’s crash
    Below
    As ones energy
    Races
    Pumped and fueled
    By the waters tempest
    The need to feel the
    Oceans kiss
    The fear of the waters
    Curse
    Dance alone ones skin
Like goose bumps in the cold
The water hides the darkest secrets
    And reveals heavenly beauty
    But those who seek
    The eternal rest it offers
    Are tricked by the gentle
    Lull of the oceans pulse
And though their body may die
Their mind is thrust into the
    Turbulence that is the ocean
    The rocks that make up
    The jetties
    Symbolize life and its
    Many faces’ the ocean
Forever taunts you and pulls you
    For those are the jetties
To stand on them and feel
    Alone and isolated
    While wave’s crash around you
    The ocean leaves kisses
    On upon your skin
    And sparkles in you hair
    It is the ocean
    And the danger that
    Lies within.
