Basking in the sun
Like a snake stricken by morn
Giving off a sleek black shine
Like a demon above the surface
Wild intentions outraged with a face stricken by the past
As a wolf prepared for the slaughter
The shirker of the days awaken with poise
A mellifluous stride taken with ease
Good intentions clouded with distrust
Found with sharpest of eyes
Ears displayed with complete focus
Waiting for a voice to be heard
A shroud of black
Hiding the whitest of fangs
...a blood lust
Like daggers eager to cut the skin
With muscular physic
Taken with quiet movements
Like a tiger looking for a suitable meal
That satisfies the smallest hunger
Like the dragon of the west
Her stride is enriched with ease then increases with strength
Eager and focused
She is bold and stable even in the deepest snow
Like the most curious pup
She is filled with determination and play
Like an apprentice...
Up holding the rank of a warrior
In the pinnacle of winter
Sights are conspicuous in the snow
Instincts are held high
Acting at the slightest movement
Stunned by the break in solitude
Prey is stricken with a fatal blow...
Relaxed with the satisfaction of a fresh meal
A quick slumber at the base of a tree
The shirker of the days returns to the pack
Groomed and relaxed she sleeps
Applauded by the day she slumbers...
Waiting to rise the next morn.
