The dark side of the Moon

• Description: Dunno how I came up with this, but I guess it has to do with my crush. It's simple and right off the top of my head, so it's not my best work. If you're a science geek like me, you'll notice this is scientifically incorrect. And if this were real, he's more likely to be the Moon and I the Sun. UPDATE: Understand how OLD this poem is. It's impulsive, reckless and I hate it. I am currently in the process of revising it so that it not only flows, but also rhymes. Also, he's no longer my crush.

I am the dark side of the Moon,
You are simply the Sun.
You cannot find me, you think I don't exist,
But, in truth, I'm hiding.

You take the same path every time,
So I know where to find you,
But then again,
Now I also know how to avoid you.

We travel at the same rate,
Confused at it's simplicity,
But I think I'm turning towards you,
I have been mistaken before.

The brighter side is my twin.
Not me, we are nothing alike.
But when you see her,
You wish she was more like me.

You still will never know me,
But you don't give up your search.
Are you really looking for me?
I am not a star such as you.

I don't deserve your beauty,
For your shine is original,
Mine is a reflection of yours,
So I know I am not beautiful.

You seem to orbit around the Earth,
You and I, moving in proximity to each other,
Ready to strike at anytime,
But I still face away.

Until the day I dare to face you,
My surface will be darkened,
Not only by my own shadow,
But by my somber ire.

I am the dark side of the Moon,
You are simply the Sun.
Are you really looking for me?
Until I dare to face you, I will still look away...
