They say Death walks this battlefield and perhaps they are right.
I see the souls of the fallen and hear their ghosts in the night.
I fall to my knees and cry to the darkness for those friends I lost in my stride.
I walk on with enduring pain and my sword dragging at my side.
As the armies of the damned approach I know all hope is lost.
We fought them to the very last all for a meaningless cost.
And then a revelation as I look on towards the heavens above.
I draw my sword and charge back into battle to avenge the people I love.
