The bodies swayed lifelessly from a rope,
Nobody believed there was any hope.
The soldiers walked around in fear,
The prisoners shed much more than a tear.
These horrifying sights caused stomachs to be sick,
As slowly the clock would tock and tick.
Women and children lining up in a pair,
Now we all know that it was truly unfair.
It soon would be time to sacrifice more,
As they would watch the birds freely soar.
The gas chamber disguised as a shower,
This was all due to Hitler’s power.
All to eat was a ration of bread,
If lucky, a bowl of soup they were fed.
Running non-stop for miles on end,
Your family all killed so alone you would fend.
It was a nightmare with so any dead,
This torture was years of extreme dread.
Hitler did not believe in equality,
The innocence of these people he could not seem to see.
Nowhere to run and nowhere to hide,
The world turned it’s back and left millions to die.
The law of human rights was heinously defied,
While the rejection of other governments had left millions to cry.
Nobody out there able to save you,
Brainwashing others to do this because you were a Jew.

- Title: Holocaust Horror
- Artist: WHOAR g a s m
- Description: I wrote this when I was 13. It's about the Holocaust [obviously]. Er, I sent it into the Human Rights Museum [Canada] and got a positive reply about using it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the poem as well. :]
