Oh Luna, my love
My bright shining moon
Do not leave me
Falling so slowly away.
Stay still
So that I may admire your beauty
Fight against the chariot that pulls you.
And ignore you impatient bright brother
I wish to stay bathed in your quiet rays.
Lifting my face to you
The goddess of the night sky
Stay, oh Luna, and watch children
Sigh in their sleep
So I may continue
To be caressed by you.
And now you leave me!
Oh beauty of mine
Say for me goodnight
To the next town
And to this one I say good morning.

- this poem left me feeling warm inside. there are parts that could be more developed (the anguish of the moon leaving? perhaps?) but that is the only longing i have with this poem. it's artistic without being so far up its own a** like my writing has been lately.
