Sleepless nights
And wakeless days
Rob us of ourselves
Steal our hopes and fears alike
Replacing them with emptiness
Never seeing
Never hearing
All but given up on caring
For life
For death
For love
Apathy, bane of life
Hardens hearts and
Smothers all
In deep dark folds of night
Hides the sun
And douses light
With unshed tears of pain
Never seeing
Never hearing
All but given up on caring
For life
For death
For love
Apathy, plunderer of souls
Take your villainy elsewhere
Leave me to my wretched fate
That I may feel again
For anything is better than
Living life in apathy
Ever seeing
Ever hearing
Never giving up on caring
For life goes on
For death abates
For love defeats you,
Apathy

- Yah, I know... I'm taking a poetry class next year to try and fix stuff like that. They sort of skip poetry in English... I think the last thing we studied was Dr. Seuss. XD
