The Earth has allowed us to live our lives
Now it watches displeased, and cries
It blows each wind crying out
Hoping we'll hear it's subtle shout
All the things we took for granted
Cutting trees we should have planted
The infinite thought of our resources
Now is ending in many courses
Now our world is sinking down
Slipping under, yet refusing to drown
Soon the water will atop earths head
We will finally see what we've done
And why we are dead.

I love this poem. It's very true about what's happening to the earth.
I also write poetry, but I need more work still. - Report As Spam

- This is a really great poem, and i love that somebody is shedding light on global warming...but the endings in the first stanza all pretty much rhyme. Then you change the rhyme scheme in the 2nd and 3rd stanzas. They have rhyming couplets. It all goes like this: AAAA, BBCC, DDEE. The Rhythem is a little thrown off. But i still like it.

- thats very good. and most ppl who have the power 2 make a change wait for their kids to grow up and fix it, but who do we learn from, the ppl who destroy the planet so well just end up destroying it 2. luckily tho most kids realize the world is dieing and want to make a change, so thank-you my fellow tree huggers, may we help rebuild what we have destroyed and continue to hug trees while there are still some left smile

I'm afraid it might already be to late
It's all a plan, a part of fate
Now I watch, quietly, and wait - Report As Spam
