Listen good

You're not making poems
I've seen better works of art
But, you all write a bunch of words
All meaningless from the start

Shakespeare was a poet
And Frost and Dickens too
But you, my friend, are awful
Your poems stink like a sweaty shoe

Listen up
Listen good

Write a poem,
Not worthless dribble
Write something good
Maybe something civil?

I'm sick of reading beginner's trash
I'm sick of ruined art
Put your heart and soul into it
And make it GOOD from the start

I agree with Arimi chan. Who are you to say what is poetic what and is not poetic? But of course we are all entitled to our own opinions I guess.

Galindafied agrees with you. I feel the same way. I'm tired of reading the same old love poem that makes little to no sense. There is a difference between sounding nice and being art. Writing is part reader, but it's up to the writer to create something worth the reader's time. You can't publish anything without going through a publisher and if they think it's s**t, it's s**t and you have to start all over again. It's a pain in the a**.

I agree, so tired of love s**t poems. There is a difference between good writing and good art. Just because it sounds nice, doesn't mean its good art. For all those that say, its up to the reader, that is no excuse to produce junk. I don't know what Galinafied thinks but I know alot of writers don't produce art. Unoriginal love s**t poems.

That's not the point. YES, poetry is supposed to come from the heart, but there's a difference between a work of genius and someone just writing a bunch of words on a page and calling it art. I call that murder. Maybe it's because I'm so tired of reading the same old 'he dumped me' poem or some frickin' emo poem that makes no sense. A poem is only a poem if it has certain things in it and a LOT of the time I don't see any of those things.
