Mima sighs as she wonders what to get her father for his birthday. She wanted it to be special. Not just a special gift from her but she wanted it special to him. The whole day was going to be dedicated to finding him that one special gift so she could give it to him at his birthday feast tomorrow night.
Her mind was turning over what she could get him as she gets ready for her hunt main the market place. She smiles as that picture came to her mind. Her father the hunter of man and beast alike. She... The hunter for killer deals and unique items.
She knew that he had plenty of shinies. One more price of jewelry or gem would be like giving him a random common rock from the street. So that was out.
Perhaps a weapon? She rolls her eyes as soon and dismisses that thought before it was fully formed. The best weapons he owns were made by his own hand. So that was a dead end.
Clothing? She nearly smacks herself for even going there. The only clothing her wears were is formal uniform, his armor and his armored street clothing.
But what to get him... She blinks as she realizes she was in the bazaar already and begins her hunt for a great gift. A few things caught her eye but they just seemed too... Impersonal. They were just not right to give to her father. Plus, she wants to make sure he knows she loves him.
All in all: Mima searched high and low for the perfect gift or even the supplies to make one of her own but nothing seemed right.
The sun was setting and she started her slow walk home with her head hanging, her vulpine ears and tail drooping. She was very discouraged that she did not find the perfect present.
When she returned she hardly registered that the dark elves and other people spoke to her as she passes through the lengthy hallways to her room.
Upon opening the door to her room did her eyes fall on a book... A book her mother used to read to her at bed time when her father was not around.
Then she perks up as that book sparked something in her brain as the gears got turning and planning what she is going write.
She pulls out the beautiful paper that she was saving for something special and in her best handwriting began the tale of how this very story came to be. She sure hopes her father, will love this story.
