A Hero At World's End

• Description: Concept/idea. Critique/review. Comment thoughts. Ask if necessary. I don't really know where this one came from exactly, it just sort of popped into my head, but I like the idea. It probably has a lot to work with and a lot of potential so I'm gonna run with it and see where I go. Thanks for your input as usual and expect a couple more story ideas still to come.

In another world of fantasy, civilization has continued to both suffer and prosper for centuries until one day the gods suddenly appear and make an announcement heard by everyone across the land: Within the small span of 5 years, the world will end. Now, with nearly a year passed since then, humanity lies in ruins with many having given up and simply awaiting their fate; but in a small desert town, a young man announces his intention to survive the end of the world no matter what. Thus the search for humanity's salvation begins. What challenges await him on his quest?
