I remained silent as Zeek dragged me. The pain was excruciating, but I wasn’t going to let him win. Not this time. I couldn’t hold back the yelp as he jerked to a stop. We were alone. I didn’t need my second sight to know that he was much too close. His hand moved to expose my throat. “Humans are just so delicious…” He breathed.
He moved his hand from my mouth as I opened it to scream, but the top of his head pushed my mouth shut as he bit my throat. I couldn’t pull away from him as my disgust threatened to bring up my last meal. His now free hand twisted into my hair, holding my neck to his fangs as he groaned hungrily. I tried to break free, but his other hand twisted my arm behind my back. He drew back for a second, only long enough for him to speak. “I love It when their blood burns…” with these words, he pressed his fangs back into my throat as if he needed every drop, “Makes my blood boil…”
I moaned past his hold on me as his hands pulled me closer to his body. I could only focus on his deep, pulsing, crimson light. I willed for him to feel pain, enough agony for him to stop. Soon, he cried out. It was a mix of emotion and pain as I twisted the now-visible threads in his light. He bellowed in pain, then, his hand moving too fast for me to catch. It struck my face, sending stars across my vision. Another blow made darkness wash over me.

When I woke up, I was bound, gagged, and draped over Zeek’s shoulders. We stood in front of the electric gates to the human farms, the sounds of men and women being rounded up reaching my ears. A woman scream made tears spring to my eyes as she rushed the electric gates. She didn’t stand a chance against the twenty thousand volts that were now making her bare body dance. The werewolves watched cruelly until she stopped twitching. “Open the gates!” a voice commanded as Zeek laughed at the human.
I shivered with hate and fury, making him laugh louder. He placed me on my feet once we were inside. I fell, making him laugh once more. He yanked me to my feet, my scream inaudible through the make-shift muzzle he must’ve put on me. “We don’t believe in muzzles here…” One of the farmers said softly, taking off my “muzzle”.
I tried to bite him. The werewolf snarled fiercely, his body trembling. I bit my lip as Zeek grabbed a fistful of hair. “She’d go well with some of the more… violent chattle.” The other farmer observed.
“I’ll strike to kill.” I warned, making them all laugh.
“Humans cannot kill immortals,” Zeek growled, slapping the side of my face.
I fell to the ground, darkness rushing to meet me.

I gasped as a cream colored light appeared, much too close. My hand moved on instinct to strike the man’s face. He yelped in pain, staggering back. Whoever he was, he wasn’t very violent.”You startled me… I’m sorry…” I said quietly, extending a hand to him.
The man didn’t answer as he backed away. I shook my head slowly as the man grunted like an animal. I sighed. I had heard about the Farms… They treated us like dogs, breeding us to try and keep our race alive. Females went for more value while males were used like slaves. It was revolting to even think about. I screamed when one of the men poked me. He didn’t know what hit him when my palm struck his face. I looked around slowly, seeing many curious colors. I was new and they wanted to test me. I wouldn’t allow it as I extended my hold on control the men around me. They didn’t argue. They didn’t have the time. I hated to do it… They wouldn’t think twice about what they were going to do, though… Everything about the men were under my tight control. I could make out what they were thinking as the lights started to take shape. I made one man move his left hand while I made the other dance. Both actions were sluggish. I could sense that I could make them stay away from me for the rest of their limited lives. Fear is a great motivation… I thought to myself, planting a deep fear of myself into the men. They wouldn’t come near me anymore… One somehow managed to escape my attention as he drew close to me. I flinched away as he slowed to stand in front of me. “Don’t worry, I won’t touch you…” He said.
“Then what do you want?” I demanded, trying to find his face.
“There’s something familiar about you.” He answered.
“Wouldn’t know.” I sighed tartly.
“What’s your name?” He asked.
“Akidanya.” I answered, all too aware of him standing too close for comfort.
“That’s where I know you from.” The man mused.
I arched an eyebrow. “You were my third fight,” He explained, “There’s something different about you.”
I could feel his breath on my skin now… “Back up.” I growled, uncomfortable to be this close to a former pitfighter.
Not many had ever escaped me… I didn’t hesitate when I struck. He chuckled. “Are you blind?” He asked.
“Yes.” I said sourly.
He didn’t speak again.
