• I crossed my arms, leaning against my locker. Nicole had not talk to me for a week now. I've been hanging out with Naomi, and we've been talking a lot about our family businesses. (Sigh) Then, my phone buzzes. A text message from Nicole! I look closely at it. It reads, "Meet me at the Washington park, right after school." I put my cell phone back in my pocket. The bell is about to ring for school to be out. Then suddenly...RING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get my orange backpack and I join a crowd of kids jumbling out. Some kids climb in their mom's car, there car, and some kids are going on the bus. Washington park is close enough, so I can walk, plus there's a little shortcut to my neighborhood in the park. I walk down the street, as I pass some houses. Then I notice a house. Naomi said that's her new house. I look it up and down. I tap my foot, and keep going. Washington park is right in front of me. Washington park, has a playground (Huge enough for 100 kids!), They have a ice-cream bar, a trail, and a tennis court. I love Washington park. I just love it. I see my best friend with dark brown hair sitting on a bench, looking at her phone. I walk up by the bench and sit on it. "What's up Nicole?" Nicole sighs. I give her a look of confusion. "What's wrong?" I finally ask. "Naomi is wrong. Ever since she came back, you've been hanging out with her, ONLY!" Nicole was right..I may have been so stuffed up about 1 of my best friends coming back, and I pushed her out of the way. Then I notice a girl with short, blonde hair coming our way. She had on a black jacket, a white t-shirt, and some jeans. It was Naomi! "So, Nicole, what do you need?" As she sat on the other side of the bench beside Nicole. "Naomi? What..how..?" I was so confused. "Laura?" She gives Nicole a confusion look, but gives me a evil little smile. What's going on? Then, earlier, I noticed my phone buzzed twice. I get out a phone, and check out Naomi's text message. "Good luck--Fool." I gasp. Then I give Naomi a confusion look. Then my phone buzzes again. A another text message.."Now, It is time to meet your REAL best friend! Me, of course!" Naomi gives me a little smile when Nicole is looking, but then turns into a little evil smile. I give her a frown. Then, I text her back, "Once, I show Nicole your text message, good luck--Fool!" Naomi just gasped. I remember how Naomi is.. this happened in kindergarten..Flashback: "No one says no to me, or my best friend!" She said yelling at William Jones, at recess. "Well I just did!" William comes up with the worst comebacks. Naomi, taps her foot and bounces her curly hair. "Give us those cupcakes! Now!!!!!" She frowned. "No!" William put the cupcakes back in his lunch bag. Naomi bounced up her red skirt, made her shoes work, flapped the bottom of her white t-shirt, and unbuttons her jacket. She yanked the lunch bag out of his hand, and snatched the two cupcakes. I gasp there, not knowing what is going on. "Come on, Lulu." Lulu was my nickname is kindergarten, and she yanked me down to the bench. End of flashback. I patted Nicole on her shoulder, and showed her the two text messages she sent me. Nicole gasped, and took a look Naomi. Then sent her a text message. "Good luck.....with no friends!" We laugh while Naomi runs away. Naomi usually stands up for herself. I can't believe it! I just made mean, mean, mean Naomi Iris Patterson run away. I pat Nicole on the back. "Welcome back..best friend." We hug and go off to the swings.
